When you are sitting in a sterile hospital room with your child connected to machines and you get the worst news you could ever imagine, you think of the little moments. That time you were tired and just wanted to be quiet for a minute instead of playing that game you’ve played a hundred times. That time you said “no” to ice cream. There is nothing you wouldn’t give to go back to that moment in time and make a different choice just in case you never have that chance again. That’s real! Hug Your People started as a gentle reminder to cherish the little moments. We can get so busy and hectic being adults that we forget the little eyes that are on us. Even worse, we forget the little hearts that love us. A hug is a universal gesture that can instantly make someone feel better. When your little human is diagnosed with cancer, hugs become a lifeline of hope.

HYP created a movement to remind people that hugs come in all forms. A simple text, a donation and of course the actual embrace. We are here to promote the hugs for people that need them. We are connecting the kind hearts of all the adults, kids and angels that support HYP to those little hearts that need a hug.
